80:12(11)

12 (80:11) She sent out her branches unto the sea, and her shoots unto the River.
(Psalm 80:12(11))

Verse 1 identifies “she” as the tribe of Joseph. We read in the Torah:

22 Yosef is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine by a fountain; its branches run over the wall.
(Gen. 29:22)

The “wall” that Joseph goes over in Gen 49:22 is the “sea” in Psalm 80:12(11). From these verses we have a prophecy that the tribe of Joseph will migrate across the sea.
