Take Hold: There is Healing in His Wings

We read in the Goodnews according to Matthew:
20 And behold, a woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, approached behind Him, and touched the tzitzit of His garment:
21 For she said within herself, If I touch His garment only, I will be delivered.
22 But Yeshua turned, and when He saw her, He said: Have trust, My daughter, for your trust has delivered you. And the woman was delivered the same hour.
(Mt. 9:20-22 HRV)
We know from the Goodnews according to the Hebrews ( an apocryphal Gospel used by the ancient Nazarenes, the original Jewish followers of Yeshua), this woman’s name was Miriam.*
This Miriam was fulfilling a beautiful Messianic prophecy found in the book of Malachi:
19 (4:1) For behold, the day comes that shall burn as an oven. And all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, says YHWH Tzva’ot, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
20 (4:2) But unto you that fear my Name, shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings: and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
(Mal. 4:1-2 HRV)
Although the Ketuvim Netzarim never cites this passage of Malachi as a Messianic prophecy, it is recognized as such in the Midrash Rabbah:
Moses
asked: ‘ Shall they remain in pledge for ever?’ God replied: ‘No, only
Until the sun appears’ that is, till the coming of the Messiah; for it
says, But unto you that fear My name shall the sun of righteousness
arise with healing in its wings (Mal.3:20).
(Midrash Rabbah on Exodus 31:10).
The Hebrew word for “wing(s)” in Malach 4:1-2 is KANAF, a word which means “wing” or “corner” and is also the Hebrew word for “corner” in Numbers 15 where we read about the commandment to wear tzitzit on the four corners of our garments as a reminder of the of YHWH’s Torah:
37 And YHWH spoke unto Moshe, saying:
38
Speak unto the children of Yisra’el and bid them, that they make them
throughout their generations, fringes (tzitziyot) in the corners of
their garments, and that they put with the fringe of each corner, a
thread of blue.
39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe,
that you may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of YHWH,
and do them. And, that you go not about after your own heart and your
own eyes, after which you use to go astray–
40 That you may remember and do all My commandments: and be Set-Apart unto your Elohim.
41 I am YHWH your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your Elohim: I am YHWH your Elohim.
(Numbers 15:37-41 HRV)
Miriam knew the prophecy in Malachi, she knew Yeshua was the Messiah and she knew that she could be healed if she just touched the tzitzit of the Messiah.
Now it is time for Ephraim to be healed as well, as we read in the book of Zarchariah:
Thus says YHWH Tzva’ot: In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, shall even take hold of the skirt (KANAF), of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you, for we have heard that Elohim is with you.
(Zech 8:23 HRV)
The “ten men” represent the House of Israel (Ephraim), the Ten “Lost Tribes.” The words “you” in the phrase “We will go with you, for we have heard that Elohim is with you.” Is plural rather than singular in the Hebrew. This is a beautiful prophecy of Ephraim reaching out and taking hold of the tzitzit of the House of Judah and being healed. This is a prophecy being fulfilled in these very days as wild Ephraimite branches are broken off, grafted into Judah and fed by the root of Judah, as the stick of Joseph is brought over and joined to the stick of Judah.
Now is the time to “take hold”, not of Rabbinic Judaism, but of Nazarene Judaism, the original Jewish followers of Yeshua as the Messiah. Yeshua did not come to create a new non-Jewish religion, He came to be the Jewish Messiah of Judaism.
Be like Miram and take hold! There is healing in his wings!
