It is ALL imperitive that we love and forgive. Love and forgiveness is what Yahushua was most about. All through Yahweh's word it is stressed many times. Especially in the Brit Chadashah. It was written in the Word, 'Love is Torah.' In the Brit Chadashah, when one of the pharisees asked Yahushua which Commandment was the greatest, in Matthew 22:37,38,40, it says: (37.) Yahushua said to him, that "You should love Master Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might and with all your mind." (38.)This is the first and greatest Commandment. (39.)And the second is like it. That 'You should love your neighbor as yourself.' (40.) On these two hang the law and the Torah and the Prophets."
Love, in that Yahweh gave His only son to be a ransom for our sins, He loved us that much! Love, that Yahushua would take the cup before him and give His life for us! He was so commpassionate, so loving throughout His life on earth. Compassion is a virtue of Love. It IS love.
Forgiveness. Even at the last moment of His life on the tree when He was crucified He asked His Father in Heaven to, "Forgive them for they know not what they do." Forgiveness. Yahshua was crucified with two bandits that day. One of the bandits asked, in those last moments if he would save him and Yahshua said, "Today you will be with me in Paradise."
If we do not forgive our brothers and sisters or anyone for that matter, Yahweh will not forgive us, He already has given His Son, the greatest sacrifice of love. For it is written, "no greater love is this than a man lay down his life for his friends.' The Father had this kind of love.
What about discord among the believers? Most all believers in 'the Truth' usually greet each other with 'Shalom.' But many do not have it themselves. It is not in the Spirit of Yahweh to sow discord or hold resentments against each other. Remember, 'Blessed are the peacemakers..' I think discord and the separation of believers is not of Yah, not truly. Sometimes though we have to separate ourselves from people who APPEAR to be believers and aren't. But we must still love them and forgive them.
In conclusion I'd like to say I believe that we should strive to be like our Savior Yahushua; loving, peaceful, forgiving, merciful, kind and compassionate.
