I agree, Hebrew food and Gentle food is not the same, Daniel and his friends had the same dispute, with the Kings food in Babylon. When the Scriptures say, get out of Babylon, it is more then moral or immoral behavior, it includes diet too. And as I first mentioned, you cannot live a higher law, unless you are also living the lower law.
As the Holy Spirit has shown me, and it is often interpreted in this way. When Paul's vision opened;, with the lower of the white sheet, with all kinds of unclean animals, with the words, all are clean, eat. It was not about eating them, but a parable to help others better understand something. The animals were the Gentiles, which the Jewish Christians of the time, considered unclean heathens. You may understand this already, it was God telling Paul to take the Gospel of Christ to the Gentiles. Christ came only to serve the House of Israel, but his Apostles were to take it to the Gentiles. The declaring that all foods were now clean, never happened, it was just a parable. When the Spirit is not fully with some some, they seek to justify their desires and lusts, and they like to think, if a majority think the same thing, then it must be right, at least it soothes their guilty consciences.

I am new to this site, and actually new to some of the deeper Hebrew and Jewish words and terminologies. So If I have this correct, Chukim is a resovir or laws, set to define the Word of God in the Torah and etc, is that right. I am trying to gain more understanding into who I am, and my ancient and yet present day roots.
If so, I understand, Men often try to define what God says, so those who are not so in tune with the Spirit can be benefited, if they have any openness to begin to see.
Israelites have always been a stiff necked people, that can be a great advantage, if one is following Gods Word as untented, but to his demise if not. I find that God gave such strict laws of observance, after leaving Egypt, because they had been held in Slavery for so many generations, that like were like Children, and needed a strong set of laws and Master to guide them. The only thing is, in time, some of the Leaders used it to their advantage, enforcing the Letter of the Law, and slighting the Spirit of the Law. When Jesus came, it was about resetting things, to the Spirit of the Law, and letting every one know, that all truth should be held up against that.
It is about realizing that God and Christ are alive, and they can be in and through you, in your thoughts and actions, if you seek them. Often those in power, turn from God and seek to control. But then it is most likely you know this. Lucifer has sought to take what is not his, since the beginning, by anyone who will listen to him.
I know not the use of all words and cultures, but the Spirit helps me to understand and grow, word upon word, law upon law. Sometimes I put my foot in my mouth in the process, but then I find that often I learn more that way, by realizing how weak and nothing I am compared to God.
