"If the Torah is called a "Perfect Work", then we need not add anything to it. Hence, all Scripture is Inspired Commentary to the Torah. (With the exception of the Gospels, which are an extension of Torah per Deut 18)"
Well that might not be accurate, but look at it this way.
The Scriptures are like a pyramid, with the Torah as its base, the prophets and writings built upon that base, the gospels upon that and the emissaries at the top built upon the…"
as a matter of personal opinion:
on account of my faith in Yeshua i take the gospel of Matthew as one inspired and include it in my accepted scriptures to the Law, Prophets and Writings (this without offense to fellow brothers and sisters who…"
"so why does the "Inspired Commentary" so often refer to the Prophets (Mt. 26:56; Mk. 15:28; Lk. 4:21), the Writings (Mt. 21:42), the Gospels (1Tim 5:18=Matt. 10:10) and even Paul's letters (2Tim. 3:15-16) as…"
every writing is a scripture. but to be an inspired scripture is another thing.
look at the various extra-canonical materials of centuries close to the 1st century, they are available in the multitude, and they teach in some…"
I hope you do some more videos. This was a great message. I am not technical enough to know how to get this on my page, but I would like to get it there, & at MySpace, & some of my other spaces. Please tell me how.
I just watched your "Confession to Israel" video on Nazarene myspace site- WOW!!!!!!! Excellent!!!! You have expressed my heart to a tee. I hope to go to Israel someday to stand with them and to minister to them in the name of MESSIAH. I find it amazing how little the Church understands the quote from Ruth 1 and its relation to Ephesians2 and Romans 11. I shared this video with just about my whole address book and these Scripture references. You have done us a very great service, may HaShem bless you a whole bunch. Shalom, kenny cartwright
Thanks for getting back with me. It is late and past my bedtime, but I cannot turn this off. I just printed the section of Ruth and put it up in 4 places in my home. I cannot tell you enough the effect this has on me. If, and I plan on this, I go to Israel and minister, any fruit from my ministry is also your fruit and may you be rewarded in eternity- May HaShem make an eternal memorial for you. I learned a while back that in Paleo Hebrew, the letters to Ruth's name mean "The HEad Secures the Covenant". As a picture alphabet, the letters to this Gentile's name is a head, a spike, and a cross- her HEAD, the MESSIAH, nailed to a cross. And the lesson is her solidarity with the Jew.I am interested in the music to this video- is it a recording of you, or on a cd that can be purchased? When you have time please let me know. Thank you, Thank you again. Shalom, kenny cartwright
Thanks for the info. I want to try this ASAP, but I keep getting so many emails, it's hard to do anything else. I wish I knew all about the technical things so that I don't mess up trying to get those codes moved. And what is the guy below talking about the "section in Ruth"? It must really be good what ever it is.
Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to read it. How did this happen to all of us? We are these strange people that love Israel. But each one of us is so different, and yet we all love Israel. God is doing something very unusual with us.
Thanks for the info on the cd- I ordered it yesterday. There is a book by Frank Seekins called Hebrew Word Pictures on the Jewish Jewels website in the Hebrew link that gives a good explanation of ancient Hebrew letters, their meanings and pictures. I originally learned this aspect of Hebrew from a guy whosde last name is Benner and has a website on ancient hebrew. If you or Mrs Hodge would like, I could write something up and send it to either of or both of you as a pdf file ( to ensure that the fonts are viewable) Thanks again very much, GOD Bless, Shalom, kenny cartwright
