I recently received a copy of the Israelite Samaritan Pentateuch in English which has the Jewish Masoretic Pentateuch in English as well using parallel columns. Into genealogy and biblical research, which in my case overlapped. At 16 I started as a Trinitarian Pentecostal. At 18 I started doing genealogy. I have almost 40 years in genealogy. My religious beliefs changed. No one could explain how 1 Elohim could become 3. I searched the Scriptures. I stopped being a Trinitarian, I became Natzarim. I had already traced my genealogy back to Jeremiah, 3 different lines of Aaron, and 9 of the 12 tribes including Tamar. It was no coincidence that I became Natzarim. My search led me to seek out the 1st church, Natzarim. And the best Scriptures and Besorah. I have multiple hard copy and digital Tanakh and New Testament. I use LXX for OT and Peshito for NT. I am getting the Samaritan Pentateuch in English, and Tischendorf's Authorized version with notes, Sinaiticus, Alexandrinus, and Vaticanus. I hope to hard copy of Anderson's NT and Noyes NT based off of Tischendorf's Codex Sinaiticus translation. My personal experience leads me to believe in Elohim working on 2's, and the Greek and Syriac, both of which were found at Mt Sinai. I am descended from Abghar V King of the Osroene in Edessa, very close to Antioch. He gathered the Gospels in the old Syriac which became Peshito. Matthew was in Hebrew at the Land of the Palestinians, Mark was in Latin at Rome, Luke was in Greek at Home Alexandria and John was in Greek at Ephesus. The old Latin was carried through by the Waldenses. The 1st covenant was at Mt Sinai. The 2nd could also be there in Syriac and Greek. There have been Jews in Egypt, with temples at Elephantine since approximately 6 BCE and at Leontopolis about 170 BCE - 74 AD(temple was destroyed. And the Maccabees destroyed the Samaritan temple at Gerizim so only the Jerusalem temple remained. Regarding Torah, I chose the Samaritan Pentateuch. The Council of Jamnia in 90 AD was of Rabbi Akiva assertion of rabbinic authority finalized by his pupil Aquila's rewrite of the Masoretic text which could bolster his Messiah candidate. I guess Father Yahu (using the Aramaic reference from Elephantine) has guided me where He wants me to be, as a historian/teacher.
Just about anything
Research, history, genealogy, spiritual not religious.
