Favorite version of Scriptures:
My name Is Jason Alkema I am a devote member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. I am writing a book and I am trying to locate a book or manuals by Dan Macdougald. I came across the reference to Dan's writings in a book called, "The Third Force, the Psychology of Abraham Maslow" By Frank Goble (1970). I really like what Dan Had to say which was quoted on page# 142 of Frank Gobles book.
What he said is that the assumptions underlying the Yonan Codex program are the following:
"1) There are psychological laws regarding human behavior just as there are physical laws pertaining to material things.
2) Understanding and use of these psychological laws (natural laws) leads to behavior that is physiologically healthy.
3) Psychopathology is a result of breaking psychological laws.
4) Great minds - prophets, philosophers, and theologians - have described the laws of behavior many times, but the average individual has difficulty discovering these laws for himself. If a man achieves an understanding of the laws of behavior through personal experience, he will choose to follow them because he recognizes that to do so is in his own best interest"
In the reference section it looks like this material came out of either:
Dan MacDougald, "A Working Answer to Criminality," Yonan Codex Publication Atlanta Georgia,
Or, it came out of: Dan MacDougald, "Theological Conciderations on the Foundation Method," Yonan Codex Publication, Atlanta, Georgia.
Or, it came out of: Dan MacDougald, "Yonan Codex Alcoholic Program," Yonan Codex Publication Atlanta Georgia.
I am writing a book on the psycho dynamics of the ego. I happen to really believe in the assumptions outlined here. They agree with my core values and what I believe about how our minds are really governed. I would like to quote them in my book but I need an original source reference and a publication date for the materials. The book I found them in has a list of Dan's publications but the reference is rather indistinct and is lacking an exact publication date
