In Do you consider yourself a: I have posted Messianic Jew. I am a really a Student of Kabbalah. Although I am Messianic I view it probably more like the Nazarine Jew belief. However I no longer use the Holy name YHVH in my pronunciation but say Adonai and think YHVH. Therefore I differ. I am tired of arguing this point with anyone and this is the reason I left the Holy Name group I once belonged to. They seemed to argue about it so much that I realized the group was full of contention and left although at the time I agreed. But in their arguing they lost me. So Presently I am Studying Kabbalah with the Kabbalah Center in LA online with UKabbalah.com I am also studying Hermetics with a Teacher in NYC. I have been studying Kabbalah full time for the last 3 1/2 years and dabbling before that since 1979. I am Jewish but was raised in a Gentile family and so am returning to my roots. My Maternal grandmother was a Lutman which could be transliterated as Levite Man. I have not had my DNA tested but if this is correct of the tribe of Levi at least on my Mothers side of the family. I am a Spencer by my Father's side. There is research to support I am descended from the Knights Templar on my Father's side. If so I am a Kabbalist in my Heritage as well. My favorite bible is actually a translation by the Kabbalah Center which is not listed so in reality my second favorite is really the NIV which is also not listed. My third favorite is the Complete Jewish Bible. I have not seen the Hebraic Roots version so cannot choose it until I do. It sounds interesting and maybe in the future I will. I hold a Bachelors of Arts degree in Bible from Central Bible College in Springfield MO. I also hold a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from University of Utah in SLC, UT. I know Quite a bit of Hebrew, some Ancient Greek and Russian along with my English. I have been to College and University for 10 and one half years and am presently taking courses online with UKabbalah. I am descendant of by Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jews but practice Sephardic in my prayers. I want to eventually live in Israel.
