Dead Sea Scroll Reccomendations

Posted on June 9, 2011 at 3:57pm 0 Comments

I was reading up on the dead sea scrolls last night.  It seems like most of the contents are scattered about, and there's no definitive website I can go to see what was there, and what has been translated.  I found this thread on Nazarene Space: http://nazarenespace.com/forum/topics/dead-sea-scrolls.  I was wondering if anyone has any other reccomendations.  I prefer the free websites or ebooks to the costly printed books.  (I… Continue

British archaeologists are seeking to authenticate what could be a landmark discovery in the documentation of early Christianity: a trove of 70 lead codices that appear to date from the 1st century CE, which may include key clues to the last days of Jesus' life. As… Continue

K something seems amiss here. shouldn't as in should not be circumcised? Did I read you right? where did you find that lie? YES I SAID LIE! And you believed in that lie? Remember those who are not circumcised both in the heart and the flesh
can NEVER be allowed into the New city of Yerushalayim. Butmbefore you even try to attempt to prove me wrong, 1st see if you can prove me right!

If one is not and choses to remain that way, then he has broken the covenant. Plus he can not inter into the set-apart city, nor can he partake of the Passover meal. Add it all up! For all the grace in the world can never save you! Thats right!
Because you will be tried by your works and be judged according to Torah.
YOU FORGOT THE CHALLENGE! YOU WAS TO PROVE ME RIGHT BEFORE YOU TRY TO ATTEMPT TO PROVE ME WRONG!

I am saying that we should not judge in areas we ourselves are not willing to face judgment.
in that same area. A man having an affair should not judge an adulterer. Pot calling kettle black. This is why 7:2-3 talks about equal weights and measures.

Thank you for passing on the web-site that contained "The Book of Jasher".

Do you know where to find an on-line copy of "The Book of Enoch"?

Brian,

Thank you for helping me get at these Books so that I may be able to Study them.

At the moment the only way that I know how to repay you is to recommend that you visit the following web-site: http://www.yahweh.org/index.html

I have not read all of the stuff that they have posted yet but what I have read so far seems to be the best stuff (commentaries) one could read about the Set-Apart Scriptures, other than reading the Scriptures themselves.

Like I said at this moment I can not vouch for everything that they have wrote at this time but I do personally (HIGHLY) recommend reading:
"The Sacred Name of Yahweh" publication, plus
the following articles -
"The Preexistence Messiah",
"Why Yahu Yahweh became Flesh", and
"The Yahu Covenant".

I have read these and they are a must read for every believer in my opinion as well as the authors opinion.

If you do not have time to read a lot of stuff I highly recommend that you at least read Chapter 9 of the book “The Sacred Name of Yahweh” and then the three short articles "The Preexistence Messiah", "Why Yahu Yahweh became Flesh", and "The Yahu Covenant".

Everything that they have posted can be downloaded in PDF form and passed on to anyone at any time with the full blessings of the publishers.

P.S. – the yohd/yud in vowel form is pronounced as “ee”, only as a consonant does it represent the “y” sound [see preface of any good Hebrew Lexicon: e.g. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hebrew_alphabet (“The Sacred Name of Yahweh” book mention in the afore mentioned web-site makes this clear at one point in Chapter 9, but then at the conclusion of the chapter they revert back to saying that the yohd/yud is to be pronounced in consonantal force defeating their case. If the Sacred Name is made-up of FOUR VOWELS as they say then the yohd/yud would carry the vowel sound and not the consonantal sound of the semi-vowel letter.]). After reading the stuff recommended above keep in mind that the first three letters of the Moshiach’s compound earthly Name were derived specifically from the Heavenly Father’s Name (Yohd, Heh, Vav) and therefore would be pronounced the same way as vowels (ee ah- oo).
