Many of you may not realize that there are other Torah based groups who have an ancient history of observance of Niddah. For those who might be curious, here is some information about the Samaritans practice of Niddah.

We must recognize that Abraham and Sarah were observant of at least these two laws umder under the Code of Hammurabi, a Babylonian codification of law, the Nuzi Tablets and old Assyrian marriage contracts, stating that
a woman could give her maid to her husband as a second wife, to bear children for her, to keep her husband from divorcing her, if they had been childless for 10 years" which was a common practice of the time:

Ed said… - Ann, James believes and teaches that the sons of God in Gen. 6 were angels who had sexual relations with human women and had offspring by them. The context of Torah about it shows that YHWH is referring to those mortal men mentioned by name from Enos down to Noah, who were called son of God (sons of YHWH) because they were conforming to Torah (obeying their Father, YHWH) until they married the beautiful daughters of unrepentant Cain, who, like Cain rejected Torah. These evil women influenced these sons of God to turn away from YHWH by turning away from Torah. The exceptions are of course Enoch and Noah. James gets his "information" about this from the apocryphal book of Enoch, which claims the sons of God in Gen. 6 were angels. I stand by what YHWH teaches me from His Torah, so whenever there is a statement or teaching in an apocryphal book that contradicts Torah, I reject it. Torah is definitely YHWH-inspired. Not everything in apocryphal books are YHWH-inspired because YHWH would never contradict Himself. -Ed

- Ann, the expression "daughters of men" means the daughters of willfully evil men against YHWH and His Torah, such as Cain and his daughters.
