Alexander Hamilton:
• Hamilton began work with the Rev. James Bayard to form the Christian Constitutional Society to help spread over the world the two things which Hamilton said made America great:
(1) Christianity
(2) a Constitution formed under Christianity.

Samuel Johnston:

James Madison

• In 1812, President Madison signed a federal bill which economically aided the Bible Society of Philadelphia in its goal of the mass distribution of the Bible.

At the Constitutional Convention of 1787, James Madison proposed the plan to divide the central government into three branches. He discovered this model of government from the Perfect Governor, as he read Isaiah 33:22;
“For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver,
the LORD is our king;
He will save us.”
[Baron Charles Montesquieu, wrote in 1748; “Nor is there liberty if the power of judging is not separated from legislative power and from executive power. If it [the power of judging] were joined to legislative power, the power over life and liberty of the citizens would be arbitrary, for the judge would be the legislature if it were joined to the executive power, the judge could have the force of an oppressor. All would be lost if the same … body of principal men … exercised these three powers." Madison claimed Isaiah 33:22 as the source of division of power in government

James McHenry – Signer of the Constitution
Public utility pleads most forcibly for the general distribution of the Holy Scriptures. The doctrine they preach, the obligations they impose, the punishment they threaten, the rewards they promise, the stamp and image of divinity they bear, which produces a conviction of their truths, can alone secure to society, order and peace, and to our courts of justice and constitutions of government, purity, stability and usefulness. In vain, without the Bible, we increase penal laws and draw entrenchments around our institutions. Bibles are strong entrenchments. Where they abound, men cannot pursue wicked courses, and at the same time enjoy quiet conscience.

Jedediah Morse:
"To the kindly influence of Christianity we owe that degree of civil freedom, and political and social happiness which mankind now enjoys. . . . Whenever the pillars of Christianity shall be overthrown, our present republican forms of government, and all blessings which flow from them, must fall with them."

John Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg
In a sermon delivered to his Virginia congregation on Jan. 21, 1776, he preached from Ecclesiastes 3.
Arriving at verse 8, which declares that there is a time of war and a time of peace, Muhlenberg noted that this surely was not the time of peace; this was the time of war. Concluding with a prayer, and while standing in full view of the congregation, he removed his clerical robes to reveal that beneath them he was wearing the uniform of an officer in the Continental army! He marched to the back of the church; ordered the drum to beat for recruits and over three hundred men joined him, becoming the Eighth Virginia Brigade. John Peter Muhlenberg finished the Revolution as a Major-General, having been at Valley Forge and having participated in the battles of Brandywine, Germantown, Monmouth, Stonypoint, and Yorktown.

Thomas Paine:
“ It has been the error of the schools to teach astronomy, and all the other sciences, and subjects of natural philosophy, as accomplishments only; whereas they should be taught theologically, or with reference to the Being who is the author of them: for all the principles of science are of divine origin. I always chuckle when a Christian states that they follow the 10 Commandments when they do not even keep the Shabbat.?!

So much for those that beleive that the Founding Fathers were Atheists!

Most Protestant Theologians, from my understanding, are not taught that "man changed the Shabbat" according to the Catechisms.

Though I have joined I do not necessarily agree with it premise; that America needs to be restored. To make this short... very short: with the main-stream American Chrisitianity twisting scripture, and their minds, into believing that Yahweh has erased Israel from the book of Life and now the paganistic Church of 'Jesus' Christ, that has adopted most of the pagan rituals through Christianization of the same rituals, now believes thet have "replaced" Israel.

From What I am "seeing" Yahweh has now declared to "us" (mainly Christian America) "Since you have decided that I have replaced Israel with you I shall treat you the same as I did Israel when they left me. I have put you under the same domination, by the same nations. Do you not see that Obama is in office because it is Yahweh's plan.
Those who truly seek Yah instead of man's myths and placating rituals, will look forward to the days past Obama and now "see" that the day is approaching. What about the readings from Jeremiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, and even Zephaniah. Quit fighting against Yah and look to the other side to the New heaven and the New earth.

Whatever happened to Come Yahshua, come soon. Whatever ever happened to wanting to see Yahshua with our own eyes. It is past the time to read the Book to prove a point but to live it that others may see The Truth for who He is.

I think the USA is at a turning point. It can become the three headed eagle of 2Esdras, the Great and Terrible Beast, or that destiny can be delayed a bit longer.

It all depends on "We the people" and what we do in the next few weeks and months.

But in the end should we not ALWAYS be promoting "prudence, righteousness, courage and temperance" among all people?

Surely no one would be opposed to "prudence, righteousness, courage and temperance".

I think we should support The idea is to restore "prudence, righteousness, courage and temperance" and let the chips fall where they may.

Yes, always we must strive to promote "prudence, righteousness, courage and temperance" among all that want it. However, it is no longer a national project but reaching individual people... "the remnant". We are here to see to it that the masses have access to the Good News of the Kingdom for the purpose of reaching the Remnant. We should be in a position, spiritually, to exemplify the Torah, as the Word, as Yahshua, and as True Life.

I agree with you, I just don't see the need to allow to become a "national" thing. If anything it is, pardon the almost pun, worldly thing.

I pray that the 3 headed Eagle of 2Esdras comes, however, if/when the Great and Terrible Beast comes, will Israel accept those that love Hashem as the "deliverers" (plural) according to Obadiah 1: 19 - 21?

I would say Judai-Christian principles, as we had Jewish founding fathers as well (Haym Solomon and Mordechai Manual Noah).

The false "doctrine of manifest destiny" was certainly one of the places where our country went wrong (it did NOT originate with the founding fathers) in treating the American Indian as a sub-human.

Slavery is one of the issues that took the country the longest to overcome. It had actually been pushed on the colonies by the British government, and created an inherited problem. One which was ultimately resolved.

No one is saying that America has been perfect, only that it was founded on recognizing writes given to all men by their Creator.

Manifest Destiny and Slavery were not the result of those Judao-Christian principles, they were the result of the nation falling short of them. In fact the abolitionist movement came from movements that found slavery out of sink with Judao-Christian principles.

Like I said, our nation is constantly been facing two destinies, depending on what "We the people" do. This nation can become the Great and Terrible Beast and I believe that some day it probably will, but that destiny does not have to be fulfilled today. It can be delayed by a return to Judao-Christian values.

That return means a return to the foundational principle that we have been endowed with unalienable rights by our Creator. Those rights are expressed in the Bill of Rights which is a chain restraining the Beast.

BTW in 2Esdras The Messiah (a lion) speaks to the three headed eagle (which is the fourth beast of Daniel). As long as the eagle listens to the lion, all is well, but when he ceases to listen, he is doomed.
