Just for fun, Analysis of
Leonard vs. Sheldon
(Big Bang Theory Season 1 Episode 11)http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DJI8jze5ah8
To begin with the board itself is assembled wrong. The Neutral Level is turned 90 degrees thus having the overlaping squares of different rather than same color.
Also Black's Kings Attack Board is turned 90 degrees from the Neutral board. Both of White's Attack Boards are turned 90 degrees thus offsetting the Checker pattern.
OK ignoring the fact that the set is put together wrong, the lay of the pieces is as follows:
On the Black Level
On the Neutral level
On the White Level
On Black QL4 we have a white king ar z6
Black KL4 is empty
White QL1 has a WB at z0
White KL1 has a WR at e1; a BN at d0
Leonard takes the WB from z0QL1 and moves it to a5B ?!?!?!?
Sheldon responds by moving his Black King to d6B declaring Check Mate?!?!?!?!?
In fact not only is there no check mate, but Sheldon just moved his King into check from Lenord's Queen... not that any of these were valid moves.
Up until that point Leonard was clearly winning as to material, both players had pawns on the verge of promotion.
