{"id":4258,"date":"2021-11-07T12:28:36","date_gmt":"2021-11-07T18:28:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nazarenespace.com\/blog\/?p=4258"},"modified":"2025-01-20T11:57:11","modified_gmt":"2025-01-20T17:57:11","slug":"this-generation-shall-not-pass-away","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/nazarenespace.com\/blog\/2021\/11\/07\/this-generation-shall-not-pass-away\/","title":{"rendered":"This Generation Shall Not Pass Away"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"474\" src=\"http:\/\/nazarenespace.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/figs2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4260\" style=\"width:323px;height:218px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/nazarenespace.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/figs2.jpg 700w, http:\/\/nazarenespace.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/figs2-300x203.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>This Generation Shall Not Pass Away<\/strong><br><strong>By<\/strong><br><strong>James Scott Trimm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Book of Matthew in the King James Version we see Yeshua\u2019s Talmidim asking him about the time of his return:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?<\/em><br><em>(Matt. 24:3 KJV)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then after a several verses, Yeshua says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:<\/em><br><em>33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.<\/em><br><em>34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.<\/em><br><em>(Matt. 24:32-34 KJV)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some have been puzzled by this and asked why Yeshua did not return by the end of the generation of the disciples, was he a false prophet?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As I have said many time before, there are some passages in the New Testament which do not make sense at all in Greek, but only begin to make sense when we look at them in Hebrew and Aramaic, and the answer to this question is clear to see in the original Hebrew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First let us look at verses 32-34 as they appear in the Hebrew of the DuTillet Manuscript of Matthew:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>32 Learn you the parable from the fig tree: when its branch is tender, and the leaves<\/em><br><em>sprout, you know that the summer fruit is near.<\/em><br><em>33 So likewise you, when you will see all these things, know that it is near\u2013even at the<\/em> <em>doors.<\/em><br><em>34 Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away, until the whole is accomplished.<\/em><br><em>(Matt. 24:32-34 HRV)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can see plainly that \u201cthis generation\u201d that \u201cwill not pass away\u201d in verse 34 is the same as those who \u201cwill see all these things\u201d in verse 33 and these are those who see the \u201csummer fruit\u201d in verse 33.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the Hebrew word for \u201csummer fruit\u201d in the DuTillet Hebrew Matthew manuscript of Matthew is \u05e7\u05d9\u05e5.&nbsp; This is an ambiguous word which can be translated either \u201csummer\u201d or \u201csummer fruit\u201d especially that of the fig tree but was misunderstood by the Greek translator as \u201csummer\u201d.&nbsp; In fact the reference is to the \u201csummer fruit\u201d of the fig tree which is specifically mentioned here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The word \u05e7\u05d9\u05e5 here is a word play in the Hebrew point back a few verses to verse 13 where we read:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>But whoever endures to the end,<\/em><br><em>the same will be saved.<\/em><br><em>(Matt. 24:13 HRV)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The word for \u201cend\u201d in the DuTillet Hebrew manuscript for this verse is \u05e7\u05e5 which is a wordplay for \u05e7\u05d9\u05e5 \u201csummer fruit\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>1 Thus the Adonai YHWH showed me\u2013and behold, a basket of summer fruit (\u05e7\u05d9\u05e5).<\/em><br><em>2 And He said: Amos, what see you? And I said, A basket of summer fruit (\u05e7\u05d9\u05e5). Then said YHWH unto me: The end (\u05e7\u05e5) is come upon My people Yisra\u2019el; I will not again pardon them any more.<\/em><br><em>(Amos 8:1-2 HRV)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cthis generation\u201d which \u201cwill not pass away, until the whole is accomplished\u201d (vs. 34) is those who \u201cwill see all these things\u201d (vs. 33) referring to \u201cthe summer fruit\u201d (\u05e7\u05d9\u05e5) (vs. 32) which are the same as those \u201cwho endure to the end\u201d (\u05e7\u05e5) (vs. 13)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This refers not to the generation which Yeshua was speaking to in verse 3, but to those who endure to the end in verse 13.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"76\" height=\"80\" src=\"http:\/\/nazarenespace.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Siren2-3.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-881\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><em><span style=\"color:#fc0004\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Red Alert:  We have just lost $2,000 a month in income!
