Some Antinomians have \nquoted it to claim that the \u201claw was until John\u201d.&nbsp; However this does not\n even fit their theology, since John died before Yeshua\u2019s death.&nbsp; Others\n have taken it to mean that all prophecy was fulfilled before John.&nbsp; \nThis argument is made by Cambelites.&nbsp; However many prophecies of the \nlast days have not yet been fulfilled.&nbsp; Finally many have taken it to \nmean that prophecy ended with Yochanan.&nbsp; However this argument also \nfails because there were prophets long after his death (see for example \nActs 13:1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The solution to this difficult verse may be found by  looking at the Hebrew of Matthew and comparing the Shem Tob Hebrew  version with the DuTillet\/Munster Hebrew version.&nbsp; In this particular  text, it appears the Shem Tob text may preserve the original reading.&nbsp;  The Shem Tob Hebrew version of Mathew tells us that the Torah and the  Prophets prophecied \u05e2\u05dc \u201cconcerning\u201d Yochanan which seems to have become misread as \u05e2\u05d3 \u201cuntil\u201d Yochanan as we see it in the DuTillet and Munster Text.&nbsp; \u201cConcerning\u201d (\u05e2\u05dc) Yochanan (as it reads in the Shem Tob Hebrew text) is easily misread as \u05e2\u05d3  (until) (as it appears in the DuTillet and Munster Hebrew texts) (This  is one of the few passages in which Shem Tob appears to preserve a more  original reading than DuTillet).&nbsp; The reading \u201cconcerning John\u201d seems to  fit the text better because in verse 11:10 Matthew has just quoted  Malachi 3:1 and applied the text to Yochanan.&nbsp; And earlier in Mt. 3:3  Matthew had quoted Is. 40:3 as pertaining to Yochanan. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"76\" height=\"80\" src=\"http:\/\/nazarenespace.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Siren2-1.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-317\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#ff2419\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Emergency Alert!<\/mark><\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#fa0000\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Donations have been extremely low this month.
