14:12-15<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

12 How are you fallen from heaven, O Hallel, son of the morning! How are you cutdown to the ground, that did cast lots over the nations!<\/em>
13 And you said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, above the stars of El will I exaltmy throne, and I will sit upon the mount of meeting, in the uttermost parts of the north;<\/em>
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like Elyon.<\/em>
15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sh\u2019ol; to the uttermost parts of the pit.<\/em>

This figure is clearly a [fallen] angel who is the spiritual King of Babylon as we read in the Midrash Rabbah:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

R. Hunia said with reference to the dictum of R. Isaac: The Holy One, blessed be He, does not punish a nation on earth till He has cast down its guardian angel from heaven. This is borne out by five Scriptural verses. \u2026The second is: How art thou fallen from heaven, O day-star, son of the morning!<\/strong> after which we read, How art thou cut down to the ground (Is. 14:12).<\/strong><\/em>

From this portion of Isaiah we learn that HaSatan directly rebelled against YHWH, seeking to put himself (his own opinions) above YHWH (YHWH\u2019s Word).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14:24-25<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

24 YHWH Tzva\u2019ot has sworn, saying: Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:
25 That I will break the Assyrian in My land, and upon My mountains tread him under foot; then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulder.

the Assyrian<\/em><\/strong> The Ancient Nazarene Commentary on Isaiah, in its commentary on Isaiah 31:6-9 interprets \u201cthe Assyrian\u201d as HaSatan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

tread him under foot<\/em><\/strong> In Bereshit we read:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 And YHWH Elohim said unto the serpent: Because you have done this, cursed are<\/em>
you from among all cattle, and from among all beasts of the field. Upon your belly shall<\/em> you go, and dust shall you eat all the days of your life.<\/em>
15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her<\/em> seed. They shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise their heel.<\/em>
